Description
I had the opportunity to visit Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens while visiting Southern California. Spending the morning and afternoon exploring these wonderful gardens was just not enough time to get in all they had to offer. The Huntington Art Gallery in the original Huntington residence was a treat for the eyes. We saw European art from the 15th to the early 20th century. Including "Pinkie" and "Blue Boy".
I took 100s of photos of the gardens. Everything I saw was a painting waiting to happen. The scene you see here in my oil painting is part of the Japanese Garden. I absolutely love the reflection creating a circle on the water and the koi fish swimming peacefully in the clam pond.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.
