"Waves On Napili Bay" is part of my "Dancing With Waves series. This sweet little palette knife painting is 8x10 inches. The powerful motion of the wave crashing on the lava rocks is very dramatic. I love the power of the ocean!
Napili Bay is located on Maui's northwestern shore. It's known for its fine golden sand and crescent shaped beach. It lies between two rocky points and is an excellent beach for swimming and other water activities. The ocean bottom is sandy, but drops off quickly to overhead depths. There are many hotels and vacation rentals on Napili Bay, so it's a rather busy beach with lots of sunbathers. This is the closest beach to where I live. My honey and I visit it often at sunset.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.

About Darice Machel McGuire
Darice Machel McGuire lived on the beautiful Island of Maui from 2012 until the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023, destroyed her art studio. She and her husband have relocated to Grass Valley, California. They purchased a commercial building to reestablish their art studios. McGuire's Hawaii and California landscape oil and acrylic paintings are gracing the homes and offices of collectors nationally and internationally. McGuire's choice of subject matter comes from her love of nature and all that surrounds her on a daily basis. She paints in large and small formats.
