You never know where the jolly old Elf will show up. This time he has a helper on the Island of Maui. The white egret has decided to give Santa a hand with delivering his packages.

This santa painting was done on commission from a friend of mine. The face is that of his father. Who plays Santa every year. I had a great time making up this scene. The canoe and egret were last minuet additions. I feel they really bring the story to life.

Darice Machel McGuire lived on the beautiful Island of Maui from 2012 until the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023, destroyed her art studio. She and her husband have relocated to Grass Valley, California. They purchased a commercial building to reestablish their art studios. McGuire's Hawaii and California landscape oil and acrylic paintings are gracing the homes and offices of collectors nationally and internationally. McGuire's choice of subject matter comes from her love of nature and all that surrounds her on a daily basis. She paints in large and small formats.
