I painted this scene from the spot you see. I grew up in Kings Beach and this spot was just two blocks from my house and only three buildings from my families gallery. It's called the "dog beach" because this is the only place around the Lake dogs are allowed. This scene is of a beautiful spring day. The tourists have not arrived yet and the lake is full. I would walk along the beach from one end to the other.

About Darice Machel McGuire
Darice Machel McGuire lived on the beautiful Island of Maui from 2012 until the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023, destroyed her art studio. She and her husband have relocated to Grass Valley, California. They purchased a commercial building to reestablish their art studios. McGuire's Hawaii and California landscape oil and acrylic paintings are gracing the homes and offices of collectors nationally and internationally. McGuire's choice of subject matter comes from her love of nature and all that surrounds her on a daily basis. She paints in large and small formats.
