Pu, a Hawaiian conch shell, is a large seashell played like a ceremonial fanfare trumpet. Hawaiian Ceremonial Pu shell horns are the traditional Royal fanfare trumpet of the Pacific Islands. They are actually large seashells. Triton & Cassis Cornuta and Queen pink Conch are used. They are capable of emitting a loud sound carrying as far as two miles. The Queen Conch or Pink Conch has an expansive, flaring lip. It has blunt spines and the thing brittle edges have been ground. This conch has a creamy exterior color with a yellow-brown layer on top and a brilliant pink aperture.
