Artist's Description
The north end of West Maui is very rugged. Winter waves are big and the ocean is ruff. On this side of the island there aren't many beaches or towns. Very few people live along this coastline. In the background of this scene you see an interesting mountain shape, it is call Kahakuloa Head. The road along this coastline narrows to one lane which hugs steep cliffs and is full of hair pins. Lots of travelers are afraid to drive this road. I don't mind it and think of it as an adventure.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.

Three of the five galleries that represented her work were destroyed by the Lahaina fire. The two remaining galleries are Karen Lei's Gallery in Kahakuloa and Karen Lei's...
