Description
Napili Bay is just a few blocks away from where I live. I was able to take advantage os a peaceful walk along the shore a few days before our state shut all the beaches down during the coronavirus outbreak. No one was on the beach. The only footprints were mine and the birds. It felt really strange to see this very popular beach empty. But, what a great opportunity to get lots of photo references for paintings. You see, I don't like to put people in my landscape scenes. I'd rather the viewer imagine themselves in the scene.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.
