Description
The ocean is the a powerful thing to behold. Sometimes it's calm, sometimes it's dangerous. I've been inspired to paint waves lately. All kinds of waves, mostly dramatic ones like this one. Not only am I inspired to paint them, I've been inspired to write poetry about them.
Sea wind of the night causing the waves to dance. Each swell lifts to the sky, reaching for the stars. Salty spray flung into the night, then once again joins with the sea. Each curve, each curl of the waves creates a rhythm as they move closer to the shore. Sometimes the dance is slow and graceful like a waltz. Other times rushed and furious, causing a dramatic scene for all to behold.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.
