This beautiful bird is strutting his way across the canvas. His head is held high, keeping an eye out for a passing female. I was inspired to paint this painting after doing two needle point canvas paintings for a client. Yep, that's right, I can paint on needle point canvas. In fact I use to sell them at a store in Chico called The Yarn Basket. I paint the images and someone else would do the needle point. It's a lot of fun and it's so cool to see the finished piece.
