Artist's Description
Look its Santa in a red canoe. He's delivering presents to the family living in that beach hut. He has a couple of hitch hikers coming along for a ride, a honu (sea turtle) and a crab. I bet they are hoping for something extra special for Christmas. I know someone will be excited to see a surfboard under their tree.
Every year I paint a Santa or Holiday painting. For about 9 years now the paintings have had a tropical theme. And why not? Santa does visit Hawaii. He usually arrives in a red canoe just like this one.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.

Three of the five galleries that represented her work were destroyed by the Lahaina fire. The two remaining galleries are Karen Lei's Gallery in Kahakuloa and Karen Lei's...
