Artist's Description
Finding the perfect title for a painting is not very easy at times. When ever I get stuck on that task I head to Instagram and Facebook to ask my followers for help. I get lots of great suggestions, many that would work just fine. This painting's title came from an Instagram follower and I think it is just perfect!
Humpback whales are so majestic to me. These genital giants are so mesmerizing to watch. Sometimes I wish they would stay in the Hawaiian waters all year just so I can watch them. I know that sounds a bit selfish, for while these beautiful creatures are here in the winter they don't eat. They come here to mate and give birth. Come Spring they migrate back to Alaska to spend the Summer and Fall fattening up for their winter journey here.
My painting is an acrylic. The background was done using the acrylic pouring technique.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.
