Napili Bay during covid-19 was completely empty. This popular beach is close to where I live. It felt strange and lonely during the island and state shut down. Being the only person on the beach and seeing only my foot prints in the sand was a humbling experience. One I hope I won't have to repeat. Everything was closed including the Sea House Restaurant, one of our favorites. Most of my landscape paintings don't have people in them, just like this one. However, all my reference photos usually do, I simply don't add them in to my paintings. It was a rare opportunity to capture reference photos of my favorite beaches with no people on them.
