Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

Motion of the ocean is a fun and challenging subject to paint. When ever I go to the beach I spend most of my time listening to the sound of the waves and watching them form and crash on the shore. The rhythm is spell bounding and meditative. Taking on the challenge of creating a painting to show that rhythm and transparency was a great exercise in concentration. My medium of choice for this painting was acrylics. The quick drying time helped me with layering the colors. I started with the sand and continued building each layer to achieve the depth of transparency I was going for.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.

Darice Machel McGuire lived on the beautiful Island of Maui from 2012 until the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023, destroyed her art studio. She and her husband have relocated to Grass Valley, California. They purchased a commercial building to reestablish their art studios. McGuire's Hawaii and California landscape oil and acrylic paintings are gracing the homes and offices of collectors nationally and internationally.
