Artist's Description
Lahaina Harbor was one of the most popular spots in West Maui to enjoy a variety of ocean activities, including whale watching, sailing, snorkeling, submarine, sport fishing, scuba diving, parasailing and more. It's also my favorite spot in Lahaina. I use to love walking down to the harbor from my art studio once in awhile just to breath in the ocean scent and see all the activities going on.
The Lahaina Harbor and most of the boats in it burned down on August 8th, 2023. Thankfully this painting sold before the devastating disaster.
I created this oil painting for a special show at the Sentry Tournament Of Champions golf event, at Kapalua Bay Golf Course, January 2022.

Darice Machel McGuire lived on the beautiful Island of Maui from 2012 until the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023, destroyed her art studio. McGuire's choice of subject matter comes from her love of nature and all that surrounds her on a daily basis. She paints in large and small formats. Three of the five galleries that represented her work were destroyed by the Lahaina fire. The two remaining galleries are Karen Lei's Gallery in Kahakuloa and Karen Lei's...
