Hanakao'o Beach Park is a great place to paint plein air. I took a couple of people visiting Maui from Canada to paint at this beach for a few hours and we couldn't have asked for a better day.
This beach is very popular with the canoe'rs. In fact, There are a few canoe clubs who call this beach home. Many mornings each week you can watch them out on the water practicing. We painted in the later afternoon hours, after they all went home.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.
