This "Free Spirit" is happily living the tropical ocean life. Swimming in the warm waters of Hawaii. Honu is the Hawaiian name for sea turtle. These wonderful creatures are endangered and protected. On land they may be slow but in the ocean they are graceful and powerful.

I did the background of this painting with the acrylic pour technique. The colors and pattern were perfect for a sea creature. And what better creature then a honu, Hawaiian sea turtle.
