Combining realism with abstract is a good challenge for me. Coming up with the colors and concept is part of the fun. This painting started with the inspiration from a Fall flower arrangement I saw on Instagram. The colors were so striking I knew I had to use them for an acrylic pour painting. Once the paint dried I imagined seeing pumpkins in the lower corner. I added one then two, but it needed some height so I added the squash. At first the squash was the same cream color you see at the top of the painting. That color was over powering the composition so I changed it to green.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.
