Making use of recycled stretcher frames that were given me, I decided to create a diptych. Deciding to make it a koi pond was inspired by another one of my koi fish paintings. The technique I used in painting this one was layering transparent oil paint on top of each other. In order to get the depth I wanted to achieve I had to let each layer of paint dry before adding the next. In all it took about 5 weeks to complete this painting.
This version of my diptych painting "Koi Pond" has been stitched together in photoshop. That way prints can be sold as a single painting for those who want one.
The original painting can only be sold as a diptych.
NOTE; This painting, along with my entire inventory and art studio, was destroyed in the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023.

She and her husband have relocated to Grass Valley, California. They purchased a commercial building to reestablish their art studios.
