Artist's Description
Humpback whales migrate to Hawaii every winter to breed and give birth. During the summer months the humpbacks feed in the cold waters of Alaska. While they are here in Hawaii they don't eat, they live off of their blubber instead. Humpback whales are the noisiest and most imaginative whales when it comes to songs. The songs have the largest range of frequencies, ranging from 20-9,000 Hertz. I have fallen in love with these amazing creatures and look forward to their arrival every winter.
This painting I did in my new whimsical style. Using acrylic paints on watercolor paper.
