These little honey bees are busy gathering pollen to take back to their hive. Soon they will be making sweet golden honey. Honey bees are super-important pollinators for flowers, fruits and vegetables. Sadly colonies of bees have been disappearing, and the reason remains unknown. It's become vital to our society to protect our bees. Without them we are endanger of losing a third of our food source.
My painting is an acrylic pour on canvas. It sat around my studio for quite awhile before I decided to add the bees and flowers. The hexagon shapes represents the honey comb.
