Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption. The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton. Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").
Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

The Sugar Cane Train is a tourist attraction on Maui that started in 1969. The train depot is located in Lahaina and is just two doors down from my art studio. You can take a historic journey from Lahaina to Ka'anapali Resort along a six mile stretch of tracks. The train crosses a 325-foot curved wooden trestle and offers panoramic views of neighboring islands and the West Maui Mountains.
Monday through Friday I hear the blast of its steam whistle as it takes people along its journey. There are three steam engines used in a rotating manner. The one in this painting is Engine number 3. I have photographed all three from many angles for varying compositions and details.
This was quite a challenging painting due to all the fine details of the steam engine and the vanishing points of the train cars. For the gray cement sidewalk I added a touch of color. Darice Machel McGuire lived on the beautiful Island of Maui from 2012 until the Lahaina fire on August 8th, 2023, destroyed her art studio. She and her husband have relocated to Grass Valley, California. They purchased a commercial building to reestablish their art studios. McGuire's Hawaii and California landscape oil and acrylic paintings are gracing the homes and offices of collectors nationally and internationally.
